The brief was to create a contemporary timber
chair that would leave as small an environmental
footprint as possible.
The chair is made from solid sections of elm, steam-bent by Don O’Conner of The Timber Benders in Daylesford using nineteenth century machinery.
The back sweeps down to form the rear leg, and supports the lumbar area of the back. The chair is available in limited quantities as either a carver-style as shown, or a dining chair.
