The upright fronds of the Award are hand-crafted from reclaimed oregon collected from Her Majesty’s Theatre in Melbourne during refurbishments in 2001. The base is made from old jarrah fence posts from regional Victoria, the plaques from salvaged brass off-cuts and the protective case that houses the Award from recycled paperboard.
