The marquetry on the face of the award comprises timber from every state and territory of Australia and showcases the wonderful variety of native timbers – no stains were used. I selected some of the timber from my personal collection of rare salvaged timbers and Tim Kennedy of Bowerbird Salvaged Timber generously donated the remainder.
